SUMMARY:

Daylight Savings Time (DST) Change

In August 2005 the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which changes the dates of both the start and end of daylight saving time (DST). This law goes into effect in 2007, when DST will start three weeks earlier (2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November) than what had traditionally occurred.

Summary of the 2007 Change

In accordance with Rule 1007.00, all CBOT® trading schedules will be on Central Daylight Saving Time beginning with the e-cbot® trading session on Sunday evening, March 11, 2007.

The e-cbot API does not require any changes.  In addition, the CBOT-provided hardware at your site will not require any changes.

However, Trading Applications and related user support applications that are time-dependent may be affected by this DST change.

Please be certain to consult with your Independent Software Vendor (ISV) or your internal application development team to ensure that the DST change will be addressed before March 11, 2007.
