As you know, NYSE Euronext has acquired the CBOT precious metals complex from CME Group. NYSE Euronext is excited to welcome the precious metals products into its global exchange franchise as the first product set to be listed on NYSE Euronext’s new US futures exchange which will be called NYSE Liffe. NYSE Euronext anticipates that the CFTC will designate NYSE Liffe as a contract market in Q3 2008, possibly as early as August 2008. Once designation is achieved the precious metals products will be transitioned from CBOT to NYSE Liffe as quickly as possible and details regarding the transition will be communicated closer to the transfer date.

NYSE Liffe will continue to use the existing trading platform which is powered by LIFFE CONNECT® technology and CME will continue to provide clearing services for the precious metals products for an interim period of time.
