Agricultural Futures Morning Pre-Open Session

 

In order to increase the efficiency of firms in preparing for the Agricultural futures re-opening at 9:30 a.m., beginning Monday, June 25, 2007, e-cbot will begin the morning Pre-Open session at 6:30 a.m. The morning Pre-Open session currently begins at 8:30 a.m.

 

The following products will be available for Pre-Open at 6:30 a.m.:

 

Corn Futures

Ethanol Futures

South American Soybean Futures

Soybean Futures

Soybean Oil Futures

Soybean Meal Futures

Oat Futures

Rough Rice Futures

Wheat Futures

KCBT Hard Red Winter Wheat Futures

MGEX Hard Red Spring Wheat Futures

WCE Western Barley Futures and Options

WCE Canola Futures and Options

WCE Feed Wheat Futures and Options

 

Agricultural Futures Trading States from 5:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. Chicago time as of Monday, June 25, 2007

 

The following table lists the distinct trading state time periods (Chicago time) for Agricultural futures beginning Monday, June 25.

 

Pre-Open-5:30 p.m.

Open-6:30 p.m. (Opening Rotation begins)

Restricted Open-6:00 a.m.

2nd Pre-Open-6:30 a.m.

Re-Open-9:30 a.m.

Close-1:15 p.m.

3rd Pre-Open-2:30 p.m.

Close Final-3:55 p.m.

 

During the Restricted Open period the following functions are permitted:

 

All Day, Good-til-Canceled (GTC) and Good-til-Date (GTD) orders remain in book

Orders can be pulled

Order volume can be revised down

Strategies can be created

ITM Logon and logoff is permitted (logoff will cancel all Day orders)

Nominate Replacement Trader(s)

Order Transfer Available

 

During the Restricted Open period the following functions are NOT permitted:

 

Revision of price

Submission of orders

Request for Quotes

Revision of GTC date
