The Chicago Board of Trade selected LIFFE CONNECT as the e-cbot trading engine because of its robust functionality and superior technical architecture. Functionally, it will give e-cbot enhanced trading capabilities, better reporting, more flexible matching algorithms, and the ability to accommodate anticipated future trading needs.

This flexible architecture will greatly facilitate the work of front end developers in adapting their systems to conform to the e-cbot API.

The CBOT is committed to maintaining close contact with all of the software vendors and developers, in order to assure that there is clear and complete communication concerning any technical and service issues that may arise between ISVs and end users. The CBOT will act as the central contact in resolving all problems - from initial identification to resolution - regardless of origin so that the system will work flawlessly for the user.
